William McDonald

EVP of Corporate Sales

Bill is a founding principal of McDonald Dalton Capital Partners, the venture capital firm that provided start-up capital for Zeteky. His more than 35 years of operational and transactional experience spans several industries including computer software, energy, publishing, and insurance/risk management. He has been President/CEO of two companies: American Financial Alternatives, Inc. and Interactive Training Solutions, Inc.

Prior to forming MDCP, Bill spent 20 years focused on mergers and acquisitions as Senior Vice President and a Principal of Capital Alliance Corporation, a private investment banking firm based in Dallas, Texas. As Managing Director of the firm’s Computer Services Division, he specialized in technology industries such as IT consulting, E-commerce, network systems integration, and software. His technology team also had experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, semiconductors, and computer peripherals.  

 

Bill has been Project Manager or Co-Manager on over 30 M&A and corporate financing transactions including a large number of complex, high technology transactions.  He has twice been awarded “Dealmaker of the Year” honors within M&A International, a competition between 42 international investment banking firms. He also served on the Board of Directors of Logix Microsystems Ltd., based in Bangalore, India, an international IT consulting company specializing in ERP and CRM software solutions.

 

Early in his career, Bill spent six years with Hall Financial Group in Texas and California, where he was a key manager involved in the sale and marketing of real estate investment funds, as well as the acquisition, disposition, and management of investment-grade office and multi-family properties. He also spent three years with Merrico Investments Corp., where he researched and analyzed the real estate portfolios of many insurance companies and savings and loans for acquisition.

 

Bill is an honors graduate of Southern Methodist University, where he has served for several years as an Associate Board member. He has also done graduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas.
